| SVEB remains well represented internationally Dear Sir or Madam, |
International engagement has been a core part of SVEB’s work since its inception. The international outlook allows SVEB to anticipate trends in adult learning, benefit from proven models and innovations abroad, transfer Swiss knowledge to other countries, and strengthen its voice in policy and collaboration. |
| Through new board appointments in key networks, SVEB has recently consolidated its presence within European and international adult education. I myself, Project Manager for Research and International Affairs, was elected to the Executive Board of the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA), reestablishing SVEB’s presence after a two-year absence. In addition, Caroline Meier Quevedo, member of SVEB’s management team, joined the board of the European Basic Skills Network (EBSN), continuing SVEB’s longstanding involvement since its founding membership in 2011. Globally, SVEB is represented through Bernhard Grämiger, director of SVEB, who serves as Vice President for Europe in the International Council for Adult Education (ICAE). These appointments underline SVEB’s commitment to shaping adult education at both the European and global level. By strengthening its presence in international networks, SVEB ensures that Switzerland remains actively engaged in future policy and practice. This engagement reinforces the value of lifelong learning as a shared global responsibility. Marianne Müller Project Manager Research and International Affairs |
